In these sour economic times, it's good to see a local business
flourishing. Robbie O'Connell's Pub, a fixture on Seabreeze
Avenue, has outgrown it's old location and has moved into a two
story, corner building. Just a couple doors down from it's
previous location, Robbie's 2.0 features two floors of fun
packed with games such as darts, table-top shuffle boards and bar
top video games. The most impressive part of the new location is
the care and attention to detail that has gone into it's
construction. This wasn't a job hired out to a contractor;
Robbie, the Staff, and the pub's extended family carved the new
bar all by themselves. This includes the hand-made cherry wood bars
upstairs and downstairs, hand painted art and murals including the
pink elephants (pictured).
The expansion has allowed more room for larger crowds, live local
bands every weekend, and open spaces for air ventilation for
non-smokers. It has been long time coming and Robbie and his crew
did a fantastic job. If you haven't had a chance to visit now
is the time to warm up your seat at the bar and order your favorite
drink. Robbie O'Connell's offers daily drink specials to
name a few, $3 Guinness, Draughts, Jager Shots, and my personal
favorite, the Irish Car Bomb.
